Royal Shuffles
A King of the Court mode where you are shuffled together with a new partner for every new rally on your court — and over a tournament you will have played alongside just about everyone in the group. This is a queue mode: if you have not read how the queue, the ejections and the ranking work, start with Queue Modes.
How a game works
1
Define who servesEither the challengers serve or the court team does — decided once, and it stays that way for the whole tournament.
2
Align on the scoring and ejection rulesEveryone on court should know what wins a game and what sends a side back into the queue. They are set out under Queue Modes.
3
Brief your refereesMake sure whoever referees knows what they are doing before the first rally.
4
The referee starts the roundThe referee calls the round on and keeps it running from there.
5
Everyone moves upThe challengers move up to the court once the court team is ejected, and Up Next moves up to challengers once the challenger team is ejected.
How the rounds run
Each round mixes the whole pool into fresh courts, and within a court players cycle on and off as they win or lose. Only the side currently on court can score. When the round timer runs out, everyone is mixed again.
Fair by design
The queue always draws from the players with the least court time, so everybody plays about the same amount — and because partners keep changing, the standings reflect how you played, not who you were drawn with.
